Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a celebrity who has strayed from country music to pop culture and became the pop icon of the future that will endure forever, and sweeping over all of the world. Swift has thrown off her country roots as if it were a second-skin revealing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter of her time. She has the ability to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her personal. Swift's early tracks including the neotribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. The second album Fearless in 2008 showcased a songwriter finding her voice as well as a broader audience. The album was able to have significant appeal not just on the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and the hit single You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well with Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier success, and catapulted Swift into the spotlight. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, her popularity increased and she became part of a world of pop music with a clear sense of where she deserved to be. As she cut her style to the stripped-down versions of 2020, folklore and Evermore, she still remained in the top spot. The position was defended with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalogue as in Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
