Laura Linney

Laura Linney, born February 5, 1964 in New York New York U.S.A. has been an American actress who is known for her portrayal of powerful, but fragile characters. Linney is a member of a family of actors her father was the playwright, Romulus Linney. She graduated from Brown University in 1986 and later studied at the Arts Theatre School in Moscow before graduating from the Juilliard School (M.F.A.) located in New York City in 1990. Her first appearance was in shows on Broadway before receiving acclaim from her role as Hedda Gabler in Six Degrees of Separation and Hedda Gabler.
